Disciplines
It’s true that graduates with engineering and science degrees are needed within the nuclear industry. But don’t presume that’s all we’re looking for. The fact is that we need people from all disciplines to join us in our engineering, science and commercial divisions.
You might be a geologist who could thrive in an environmental science role. An economist who could work in the enormous financial side of the industry. Or your arts or language degree might give you an advantage in communications or project management.
What really matters is that you have intelligence, enthusiasm and lots of potential. It’s also important to remember that a career in the nuclear industry may start in one area but lead you to another.
Just because you start as a scientist or engineer doesn’t mean you won’t become something quite different, like a commercial manager or head of stakeholder relations. The possibilities are broader than you might think – explore each division to find out more.
