Benefits
This is the only programme of its kind in the energy sector. Here can you train towards your chosen professional discipline across three UK–based projects and an international secondment too. All work and training is aligned to a relevant Chartered Institute. It’s the chance to work across the entire nuclear sector: including decommissioning, energy supply, defence, supply chain, nuclear processing and logistics.
But aside from around 480 hours of exceptional training and support, nucleargraduates can also look forward to:
- £1,000 Golden Hello
- £24,000 starting salary
- £26,000 second year’s salary (subject to performance)
- 30 days holiday a year, plus Bank Holidays
- a directorial sponsor from day one
- a professional development mentor from day one
- a career mentor from day one
We believe nucleargraduates should contribute 10% of their time to helping the communities in which they work. So you’ll also get the chance to make a difference through a variety of voluntary work. But you’ll be paid for your time and given professional support that will help you develop even more new skills.
The most important benefit of this scheme will become apparent when you complete it. As a nucleargraduate, you’ll have developed skills very few other graduates have. You’ll have made more contacts and had more experience of the industry than almost any other trainee. This means it’s likely that you’ll have offers of employment from a broad choice of our companies. It’s an outstanding way to start your career.
