Month Eight

Time to regroup and step things up.

After completing your first secondment, you’ll be back at the training centre. This will give you a chance to share your experiences and look at various issues, including best practice. By this point the programme steps up a gear. Now it’s time to really build on the skills you’ve picked up. Working closely with your mentors, you’ll ensure you’re on the right road for professional accreditation.

After this, you’ll be back out in the real world – working alongside managers and staff from one of our Site License Companies or Parent Body Organisations. This could be fuel processing at Springfields in Preston, lab work at Sellafield or project management in Bristol or Dounreay. At whichever site you’re stationed, you’ll be in the thick of it; working on live projects and experiencing the real pressures and challenges we face in this industry.
