Community Projects

Community Work: Time to get involved…

As a nucleargraduate, you’ll spend 10% of your scheme giving something back to the community in which you work. Once you understand the dynamics of our industry, you’ll understand why this is so important.

To start with, we often don’t have customers in the same way that other companies do; we have stakeholders. Consistently, nuclear organisations are huge employers – and often in very remote areas. As such, time after time, we’ve found that the most important stakeholders are the communities in which we operate. We have a duty to support these communities, because they support us in so many different ways.

Footprint Days and Community Projects

Through Footprint Days and Community Projects you’ll be working with schools, community groups and small businesses that are local to you. This allows you to serve as ambassadors for the programme as well as the industry as a whole.

However, this isn’t a one-sided affair and we’re not into patronage. The people you work with in the community will be directly and indirectly inspiring you – to listen better, think deeper and understand more readily. Visit www.nuclearfootprints.com to find out what people on the scheme are doing.
